HuBrowser Extension Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 12, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Deep Consulting ("HuBrowser," "we," "us," or "our") handles information when you use the HuBrowser browser extension (the "Extension"). This policy applies only to the Extension.
Information handled by the Extension
The Extension may process the following information when needed to provide a feature you choose to use:
- Extension settings, preferences, saved automations, and custom styles
- Account and membership information when you sign in
- Prompts, selected text, webpage content, page titles, URLs, or form context submitted to an AI-powered feature
- Information you choose to synchronize across your devices
- Basic technical information needed to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the service
Webpage or form content may contain personal or sensitive information. The Extension processes or transmits this content only when you intentionally use a feature that requires it.
Use without signing in
You can use local Extension features without signing in. While signed out, the Extension does not transmit your prompts, webpage content, form data, or browsing activity to HuBrowser or SelfReason servers, and SelfReason AI features are unavailable.
Some optional features, such as translation, may communicate directly with a third-party service when you choose to use them. Information sent to a service you select is subject to that service's privacy practices.
Account and membership
When you sign in, we process the account information necessary to authenticate your session and verify your membership. This may include your account identifier, email address, authentication token, and membership status.
We use this information to maintain your signed-in session, provide membership features, apply service limits, prevent abuse, and protect the Extension. Signing in does not cause continuous collection of your browsing history or webpage content.
AI-powered features
AI-powered features require a signed-in HuBrowser account. When you intentionally request an AI-powered action, the Extension securely transmits the information needed to complete that request. Depending on the feature, this may include a prompt, selected text, webpage content, page or form context, or information you previously provided for that task.
This information is used only to provide the requested feature, maintain service reliability and security, and enforce applicable usage limits. We do not use it for personalized advertising or sell it to data brokers.
Please avoid submitting passwords, payment card numbers, government identification numbers, health records, or other highly sensitive information unless it is necessary for the action you requested.
Cookies and website sessions
The Extension does not collect or store the contents of authentication cookies.
When you use an optional feature that works through an already signed-in website tab, requests may use that website's existing browser session. The browser and the website handle the session in the normal way; the Extension does not read, copy, or send the cookie values to HuBrowser, SelfReason, or an AI service.
If you ask the Extension to clear browsing data, it may instruct your browser to delete cookies or other site data you selected. This is a local browser action and does not disclose cookie values to us.
Local storage and synchronization
Most Extension settings and feature data are stored locally in your browser. Local data remains on your device until you delete it, clear the relevant browser storage, reset the Extension, or uninstall it.
Eligible signed-in users may use synchronization features for selected Extension data, such as saved automations or custom styles. Synchronized data is associated with the user's account and retained until it is replaced, deleted, or no longer reasonably needed to provide the synchronization service.
How we share information
We do not sell or rent Extension user data.
We may share information only:
- With service providers that process data on our behalf to provide authentication, hosting, synchronization, security, or AI-powered features
- With a third-party service you choose to use, when the transfer is necessary to perform your requested action
- When required by law or reasonably necessary to prevent fraud, abuse, or security threats
- As part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate safeguards and notice where required
Service providers may process information only as necessary to provide their services to us and may not use Extension data for their own personalized advertising.
Browsing activity
The Extension does not continuously collect or store your browsing history for advertising or profiling. It may access the active page's URL, title, selected text, visible content, or form context locally when required for a feature you invoke. Any transmission follows the feature-specific practices described in this policy.
Data security and retention
User data transmitted by the Extension is protected using HTTPS or another encrypted transport. We limit access to account and service data to systems and providers that need it to operate or secure the requested features.
We retain account, synchronized, and service information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide and secure the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
Your choices
You can:
- Use local features without signing in
- Sign out to disable authenticated AI and synchronization features
- Choose whether to use third-party or cloud-based features
- Clear local Extension data through Extension or browser controls
- Uninstall the Extension to remove its local storage
- Contact HuBrowser to request access to, correction of, or deletion of account-associated information, subject to applicable law
Children's privacy
The Extension is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If we learn that a child has provided personal data, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
Chrome Web Store Limited Use
Our use of information received from browser APIs and Google APIs complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Extension user data is used only to provide or improve the Extension's disclosed features. We do not use or transfer it for personalized advertising, sell it to data brokers, use it to determine creditworthiness, or allow humans to read it except with the user's specific consent, for security purposes, when required by law, or after it has been aggregated and anonymized for permitted internal operations.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our features or privacy practices change. The updated policy will show a revised date. Where required, we will provide additional notice before a material change takes effect.
